Fictional Novel Hunger Games 01

The inspiration of my project It has been about the book called “The Hunger Games” in this case I have chosen the protagonist as a source of inspiration because for me she represents femininity and power and mainly fury.

The story is about a girl and her family who lives in a period of time where they annually celebrate a game called  “The hunger games” these games are created for the fun and only and exclusively of the "upper class" since in these games the participants are people with very few resources and in them they have to fight against each other to survive and win. The protagonist named Katniss has a powerful role throughout the history and is that without realizing it completely changes a whole world, where the superficial is worth more than the lives of vulnerable people. Katniss is represented with a symbol called Mokingjay which means a bird.

From the beginning I have inspired myself in something much deeper than the person itself and I have tried to represent the fundamental element of the story “THE BOW”, I have simulated the silhouette of the bow playing with the shape of the body and the garment. The symmetry is also present in this look and is that when the arms are extended upwards the person creates the shape of an arch taking the body as axis and in this case simulating the arrow of the bow.

To create the full outfit I have re-used old clothes that I had at home. I have use the black colour as the main colour because for me It is more powerful and mysterious color at the same time the mixture of textures like feathers, transparencies and opaque fabric gave more strength to the work.

The large shoulder pads so power the look, feathers and neck element creates a bird-like symmetry. The sandals simulate the ropes that are used to tie the tip to the stick of the arrow and The make up I chose was black eyes since I wanted to express the internal power that has Katniss.

THE CRYSTAL GIRL

This project  is based on the reuse of materials to help and care of the environment, I wanted to choose materials such as plastic and denim. The outfit consist in three garments made with recycled materials, first of all the most special garment that is the jacket consists of two reusable jeans sewn together and a neck made with reusable plastic spoons as well. The top is made with remaining pieces of denim and the skirt with transparent plaster decorated with shapes created with the spoons. The inspiration of the styling is born from the futuristic style fused with nature, since the story that believes in the video is about an androjena person from another place that appears on the earth very frightened because it comes from a world where nothing is labeled, where everything is accepted and true.

After her period on earth she undergoes a metamorphosis where she accepts this new world but can not continue to live in a world as false as the one we live in so that it ends up disappearing leaving a monument that represents the truth and transparency called "THE PALACE OF CRYSTAL " (Spain)

MY SKETCH BOOK

Two of the pages of my book of drawings and inspiration. It is a book that I always carry with it because you do not know at what time the inspiration can come to you. When I want to start with a job or project,  ideas always come from there.

OIL, PENCIL AND FELT PENS

These three drawings are ones of many that I realize when I need to paint and relax.

The first portrait was painted with oil on a canvas, the second is done with felt-tip pens and the last one with pencil on a block.

DIGITAL WORK

These two illustrations are made in the computer based on the creation of silhouettes and drawings with different techniques.

The first one was done with the program called illustrator, the objective was to get an image that represented fashion in a subtle way, and I chose to create it with scribbles, similating the silhouette of a woman in leftovers.

The second work of art was created with Photoshop and consisted in creating an image of a model from different colors of shadows and shapes. She had to add a real element to create her garment so I decided to scan some small colored pompoms to create her dress.

COMPETITION FOR BONNET E POMPON

This contest was held at my university for a very famous children's clothing brand called Bonnet è pompon. The design consisted in create something different and fresh that would identify the personality of each designer and that especially it had a meaning. My project consists of a basic dress of cotton with biases of colors, where the outstanding element are two pockets of transparent plastic to be able to see the toy that they hid in them.

The idea was to create something that everyone loves because whenever we treat children clothes, they hate it because they only want toys, so we fuse it in a dress where children can take their toys anywhere without  the need to carry them in a backpack so you can show the mix of colors as a touch.

Finally I received a title to the most original design and with better work development.

MRS.GUILY BY R

MR.GUILTY BY R is a brand the I created two years ago in order to try something new. Above all I wanted to have experience and see how the fashion world work itself. The idea was a thing of destiny , I made a drawing of a Mexican Catrina and finally I printed it in a T-shirt for me, then I took a photo that goes up to a social media and where everyone asked me for that shirt so i decided to made more units and sell them. It worked really good.

AQUALITY

Aquality deals with the ideas of BAUHAUS the first objective was to create a figure of geometric forms, then with that figure for i had to create chains, drawings, reliefs and the last step was to pass those forms to the fabric and build a dress that told a story but all starting from the bauhaus. From that dress it has born a collection called Aquality that involves the marine and coral subjects and consists of 20 women designs.

HOLI PRINTS

 The sample of these prints was created with the Indian inspiration (in this case, the Indian festival of colours) Prints are come up for a shirt sample and it was made with photoshop with lines and squares. The work consist on 24 different prints playing with the colours and inspiration of this party.

which is a program where you can 

create garments in 2D and 3D.

The following designs consist of different fabrics and cuts and also of different prints as in the first one using an image of the Sixtinta Chapel. The second look is created with an own illustration that I performs in pencil.
